Mesopotamia , 2010 BC

I was born 2010 BC in Mesopotamia, an artist and craftsman, son of the chief of a small village near the sea,

On day, standing on top of the cliff looking out to sea, I am waiting and longing for the boat to come. The boat arrives and I sail away.

Approaching land I can see houses or rather huts .. the whole village is on fire; people running around screaming trying to save themselves their loved ones and their possessions.

A young woman runs up to me begging me to help her. Her grandmother is inside one of the huts. I run into the smoke and flames and drag out a lifeless body. Too late ; She's dead.

I know that there is not time to waste. I must get out of here. Before I know what is happening the young woman and a small childare heading for the shore and my boat.

As we sail away, the woman explains that The village had been attacked by raiders and had been an easy target since the men were all away somewhere. The child looks like a cherub with blond curly hair, dirty face and hands. He's sucking on something white that looks like dried fish..cuttlefish maybe. We make a bed for him in the boat with covers and sack cloth that is lying around.

Night falls and we sail on and arrive back the next day.

My parents and the whole village turn out to greet us, My father looks stern. my mother subserviant. He asks all sorts of questions and will not allow the woman and child to stay in the village, so we move into a cave near the shore.

Days and months pass until one day she says : " It's time for you to go and follow your longing. Go where your heart tells you to go.We'll be fine. "

And so it was that with a heavy heart I set out on my quest to a far off place to learn the language of signs and symbols.

The streets of the town are cobbled. The houses small and white. After a while I find a place to stay.

Years pass by. I've become a monk and I am now an old man with long white hair and beard. I am sitting in an stone alcove and beside me is my young apprentice. I have just told him it that the time has come for me to pass on. He is sad and has tears in his eyes. It is an emotional parting . I hand him something as a parting gift and then talking a final farewell , enter a room with a stone table in the centre. The ceiling is as high as in a cathedral and open at the top.

I lie on the stone table and listen to the chanting of the monks in the room. It is a lovely send off. As I look up at the sky , my soul leaves my body and enters a crystal . Inside the crystal there is a rainbow. Everything is bright, peaceful and clear...............

How to solve a problem

How to solve a problem ?

Focus on the possibilities rather than the difficulties.

When is a relationship over ?

When is a relationship or marriage over ?

It's a tough question to answer and there are probably many good answers.

It's over when it no longer serves you.

When do you re-pot a plant ?
When it's outgrown the pot.

Aside from being united in marriage, you are also an individual with your own needs and must remain true to yourself, otherwise you can whither and die and worst scenario bring your partner down with you.

As in gardening, so in repationships; weeding and repotting and pruning are necessary, indeed, essential for healthy growth

Wingmakers

Colours, strong, vibrant colours make my heart beat faster. colours that are in the blanket I am making and colours in these wingmakers paintings. I hadn't visited this site for a long time and was guided there in the wee small hours of this morning. There are no accidents I'm feeling the special powerful energies of the new moon and lunar eclipse today.

These words popped out at me this morning and the penny dropped as I reflected and applied them to situations in my own life and the lives of others. I fear and mourn endings, but these words seemed to magically turn everything around as I started to see events in a a new optimistic and positively exciting light.

Waking up to 2012

 " Anyone willing to wake up to what is going on will have to acknowledge that there is a systemic breakdown occurring throughout the civilizations of the world. Kevin Todeschi talks about 2012

I heard Paul McCartney speak at the UN Climate Change conference that opened in Copenhagen today. He reminded us of the smogs , real pea-soupers that were found to be harmful and how we dealt with them. He spoke of other achievements such as the banning of smoking in public places. I remember suffering smoke in cinemas and pubs. Eating vegetarian food at least one day a week is also a ways we we can all contribute.

There is an increasing global awareness and a desire to implement changes for the healing our planet. People from all walks of life are contributing. This gllobal healing is not just something that should be left to the politicians. We are all involved. We ARE the change we wish to see.


I think Kevin Todeschi sums up very nicely what 2012 is all about.

A New World Order in this context is not about the supremacy of certain nations over other nations; instead, it is about a new focus for the world as a whole. That focus is about truly understanding that each and every one of us is Our Brothers/Sisters Keeper. In other words, we as individuals and as nations are responsible for every single individual who is less fortunate than ourselves. The Edgar Cayce readings describe that responsibility in this way: make of thine OWN heart an understanding that thou must answer for thine own brother, for thine own neighbor! and who is thine neighbor? He that lives next door, or he that lives on the other side of the world? He, rather, that is in NEED of understanding! He who has faltered; he who has fallen even by the way. Damanhur Temples of Humankind

Buried 100 feet underground in northern Italy, about 30 miles from Turin, rests a subterranean marvel known as the "The Damanhur Temples of Humankind." It's the second stop on "Good Morning America's" Magical Mystery Tour.

This image superimposes a map of the temple on top of the Italian mountainside where it sits. The project, which was begun in 1978, is the idea of a self-proclaimed "visionary" named Oberto Airaudiwho, a retired insurance broker who goes by the name Falco. He says the temples are the re-creations of "visions" of elaborate halls, or temples, he experienced as a child.

I think discernment is a very important word. 
My affirmation for this month : "I intend to read everything with discernment."

Discernment is the recognition of the soul's impulse within our lives. It builds our intuitive ability to act with an awareness of the power that is concealed within the present moment. Discernment requires that we regularly take a personal inventory of our values, beliefs, past actions, present hopes, and future dreams. 

We live our lives based on what we believe.  Our actions are preceded by our beliefs. Our consciousness is reflected back to us. What we look for we will find. So, the question is 'where do our beliefs come from?'.  I would guess the overwhelming answer is 'from what others have told us'. We have very few original thoughts that comprise our beliefs. As individuals, we are defined by assumptions that have been formed over generations.

But, what if we are more than this? What if we are powerful beings about to awaken from a long night of dreams? What if we are at a tipping point of illumination, on the verge of uncovering the deep knowing of our origin and with it the capacity to bring about global peace? What would it be like to feel our connections to the whole and choose our actions based on this as reality? How would you be different today? How would this realization influence your actions?

Our collective challenge and opportunity is to surrender the illusions that keep us cocooned in assumptions and limitations. And, like the caterpillar, dissolve into our imaginal selves and redefine the world envisioning a future that welcomes the butterfly.

Deepak Chopra's " The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success - A practical guide to the fulfillment of your dreams " has been my valuable companion since 1996 .. the pre- internet days. It has been and it is a delightful and inspiring book and companion for me on my spiritual journey.

Today's focus , it being Sunday, is   " The Law of Pure Potentiality "  and as I type in these words into google's field of pure potentiality I find this place, The Chopra Center Library . *happy face*  . The Alchemist and When Everything Changes

 Recently I have been experiencing 'time warps'.  An friend whom I haven't seen for 20 years finds me on Facebook and takes me to a Beatles concert  The Cavern Beatles tribute to the Beatles and their music . This , at a time when I am feeling down and drained from dealing with challenges that have come my way recently. It turns out to be a joyful reunion . The music is happy and uplifting and I remind myself that  " Life is always conspiring in my favour ".  It doesn't always look that way , but , it is true.

Paulo Coelho says this in "The Alchemist" a book that came along over ten years ago when I was going through turbulent times and profoundly changed my life. Now , Neal Donald Walsch's latest book , " When Everything Changes, Change Everything " is having a similar effect on me,  continuing to inspire me  as I commit to the process while  reading, reflecting and applying what I read to my own situation , my own truth , my own thoughts.

Everything that has been happening, is happening just the way it must, in order for me to have the opportunity to really hear the voice of my soul and to see and experience things from a higher perspective. To learn and to grow.
