somehow I think this sentiment also works in reverse, everytime I say I dislike something it seems to rain down in bucketloads! :P
I guess it's best to just avoid negativity altogether!
I think you are right mscherry- that happens to me too :)
I think it was Wayne Dyer who said that the Universe or was it your subconscious ( ?) , doesn't understand " negative requests " so always affirm the positve.
e.g. not "I don't want rain " I want a sunny day "
